Unconsciously

I created the collage portrait digitally from scans of images from a National Geographic book on portraits, which also served as inspiration for the graphic style. It is a portrait of the unconscious, where individual elements together create a visual representation of the inner world. The project includes both a black-and-white and a colour version, as I find it interesting how different approaches affect the perception of the portrait. Across two pages, the individual scanned images that make up the final composition are also presented, offering insight into the process of building the portrait and linking the individual elements into a whole.
